Obukhiv Raion (Ukrainian:Обухівський район,romanized: Obukhivskyi raion) is araion (district) inKyiv Oblast ofUkraine. Itsadministrative center isObukhiv. Population:227,209 (2022 estimate).[1]
On 18 July 2020, as part of the administrative reform of Ukraine, the number of raions of Kyiv Oblast was reduced to seven, and the area of Obukhiv Raion was significantly expanded. Two abolished raions,Kaharlyk andMyronivka Raions, as well ofObukhiv Municipality and the cities ofVasylkiv andRzhyshchiv, which were previously incorporated ascities of oblast significance, and parts ofBohuslav,Kyiv-Sviatoshyn, andVasylkiv Raions, were merged into Obukhiv Raion.[2][3] The January 2020 estimate of the raion population was35,278 (2020 est.).[4]
