Noteroclada is a smallgenus ofliverworts of theSouthern Hemisphere. It is classified inorderPelliales and is the only genus in thefamilyNoterocladaceae within that order. UnlikePellia, the other genus in the order,Noteroclada has a leafy appearance.
The speciesNoteroclada confluens is known primarily from the southern regions ofSouth America, although it has been reported as far north asCosta Rica,[2] and there is a report fromNew Zealand.[3] A possible second species is known fromSouth Africa.[4]
