"No Other Love" is apopular song.
The words were written byBob Russell. The music is credited toPaul Weston but is actually derived fromFrédéric Chopin'sÉtude No. 3 in E, Op. 10, and is practically identical to that of the song "Tristesse," a 1939 hit for French singer-actorTino Rossi. It should not be confused with "No Other Love", written and composed by Broadway teamRodgers and Hammerstein.
A version recorded byJo Stafford (Weston's wife) with Weston's orchestra backing her (released byCapitol Records as catalog number 1053[1]), reached #8 on theBillboard chart in 1950. The piano artistry ofGeorge Greeley is also credited on the recording. This version of the song was featured in the trailers and final soundtrack forPaul Thomas Anderson's 2012 film,The Master.
