Nicholas Comoroto (born April 22, 1991) is an Americanprofessional wrestler who wrestles forAll Elite Wrestling (AEW) and its sister promotion,Ring of Honor (ROH). Comoroto began his career in 2013 on theindependent circuit. In 2019, he signed a development contract withWWE, but was released the next year as part of a series of budget cuts stemming from theCOVID-19 pandemic, joining AEW later that year.
Comoroto grew up in theBlackwood section ofGloucester Township, New Jersey, where he attendedGloucester Catholic High School andGloucester County College, participating inamateur wrestling at both. He went on to attendRowan University, where he studied accounting.[3]
Comoroto was trained to wrestle byQ. T. Marshall at theMonster Factory in his home state ofNew Jersey.[2] He wrestled his first recorded match in 2013 for theWilliamstown, New Jersey–based Old Time Wrestling promotion, where he was billed as the incumbent Classic Champion.[6] From 2014 to 2017, Comoroto competed primarily for thePaulsboro, New Jersey–basedMonster Factory Pro Wrestling promotion, where he held the MFPW Heavyweight Championship on one occasion, the MFPW Live Championship on two occasions, and the MFPW Tag Team Championship on three occasions.[7][8][9] In 2015, heteamed with Billy Damiana as "Shooterz Inc.", while in 2016, he teamed with Kyle the Beast as "Beast Cartel".[10] In 2017 and 2018, Comoroto wrestled for a range of promotions throughout theNortheastern United States, includingRing of Honor inPhiladelphia, Pennsylvania,EVOLVE inMelrose, Massachusetts, andMCW Pro Wrestling inMaryland.[7]
In February 2019, Comoroto signed a contract withWWE, where he was assigned to its developmental brand,NXT.[4][11] In March 2019, he began wrestling on NXTlive events throughoutFlorida.[12][13] In May 2019, he participated in the third annualWWE Performance Center combine, where he was the top ranked male in the velocitybench press contest.[14] In July 2019, he was given thering name "Nick Ogarelli". Comoroto made his final appearance with NXT in March 2020.[13] In April 2020, he was released by WWE as part of a series of budget cuts connected with theCOVID-19 pandemic.[11]
In October 2020, Comoroto made his first appearance with theJacksonville, Florida–based promotionAll Elite Wrestling, losing toDarby Allin on episode #56 of theweb television showAEW Dark.[15] He made multiple further appearances onAEW Dark throughout late 2020 and early 2021. In January 2021, Comoroto appeared on episode #69 of theTNT television showAEW Dynamite, losing toJon Moxley via referee's decision.[16] Comoroto subsequently formed an alliance withDustin Rhodes andQ. T. Marshall, thus joiningNightmare Family.[17] On the March 31, 2021 episode ofAEW Dynamite, Comoroto and several other students joined with Q. T. Marshall in attacking members of Nightmare Family,[18] with Comoroto subsequently becoming part of Marshall's new stable, "The Factory" and turningheel in the process.[19] In March 2023, Marshall stated that The Factory had disbanded.[20] In April 2023, Comoroto made his debut in AEW's sister promotion,Ring of Honor. He went on to appear regularly onRing of Honor Wrestling, occasionally teaming with Jacoby Watts.[21] In August 2024, Comoroto announced that he had undergonehip resurfacing surgery and would be recuperating until 2025.[22]
Comoroto debuted inNew Japan Pro Wrestling (NJPW) in April 2022, teaming withAaron Solo in a loss toClark Connors andKarl Fredericks on an episode ofNJPW Strong recorded inLos Angeles, California. Over the next several weeks, he made several other appearances onNJPW Strong, including teaming with Solo in a tournament to crown the inauguralStrong Openweight Tag Team Champions. At the AEW/NJPW joint pay-per-viewForbidden Door in June 2022, Comoroto lost toLance Archer.[23]
Comoroto uses the nicknames the "Freak Beast"[12][24] and the "Wrecking Ball".[2] His appearance has been compared to fellow wrestlerBruiser Brody.[5] While wrestling for AEW, he adopted agorilla press powerslam as his finishing move.[25][26]
On December 20, 2022, Comoroto disclosed that he hadattention deficit hyperactivity disorder.[27]
