Netherby is an inner-southern suburb ofAdelaide,South Australia which lies within theCity of Mitcham. It is bordered by the suburbs ofSpringfield,Kingswood,Mitcham andMalvern.
Netherby is located within walking distance ofMitcham Square Shopping Centre and sports facilities.
Unley High School andUrrbrae Agricultural High School are located within the suburb.The suburb is in close proximity toMercedes College andScotch College as well asSt Josephs andMitcham Primary schools and Mitcham Girls School.
Netherby is located in the federal electorate ofBoothby, and has been represented since 2022 byLouise Miller-Frost of theAustralian Labor Party.[3] The seat was previously held by the Liberal Party since 1948:John McLeay, Sr. (1949–1966),John McLeay, Jr. (1966–1981) andSteele Hall (1981–1996).
During the 2020 electoral district redistribution[1] Netherby was transferred to the Electorate ofUnley and has been represented byDavid Pisoni of theLiberal Party.[4]
The local government of Netherby is theMitcham Council, where the suburb is located in the Boorman Ward.[5]
