TheNasib Border Crossing (Arabic:مركز نصيب الحدودي), also known asJaber Border Crossing is an internationalborder crossing betweenSyria andJordan. It is one of the busiest border crossings in Syria and is situated on the Damascus-Amman international highway nearNasib, Syria. It is the main crossing for Syrian exports to Jordan and theGCC countries.[1] In April 2015, the crossing fell to control ofFree Syrian Army andal-Nusra Front during theBattle of Nasib Border Crossing. On 6 July 2018, the Syrian army recaptured the Nasib Border Crossing in the2018 Southern Syria offensive.[2]
The Nasib Border Crossing was officially reopened on 15 October 2018.[3]
After closing again due to theCOVID pandemic in 2020, as well as the2021 Daraa clashes, the Nasib Border Crossing reopened on 29 September 2021.[4]
On 6 December 2024Jordan again closed itsborder with Syria after theSyrian opposition seized this crossing in arenewed offensive.[5]
