Nanbu County (Chinese:南部县;pinyin:Nánbù Xiàn) is a county ofSichuan Province, China. It is under the administration ofNanchong city.[1]

In 1960, local government officials tasked with cleaning up Qing-dynasty archives found4000 Qing-era official documents in a watchtower of the county'spublic security bureau, covering political, economic, military, cultural, educational, judicial, religious, and diplomatic records of the years 1656 to 1911.[2] It is one of the largest surviving collections of Qing-era judicial material.[3] The archives are nowadays stored by the Nanchong Municipal Bureau of Archives.[4]
