Namaste Madam (transl. Greetings Madam) is a 2014 IndianKannada-languagecomedy drama film directed byR. Raghuraj and produced by Ravi Garani.[1] The film featuresSrinagar Kitty,Nikesha Patel andRagini Dwivedi in the lead roles.[2] ActressNikita Thukral made a cameo appearance.[3]
The film is a remake ofTelugu filmMissamma (2003) directed byG. Neelakanta Reddy and starringSivaji,Laya andBhoomika Chawla.[4] The film opened as aDiwali festival release on 23 October 2014.
Nanda is a married man who tries to impress Radhika, the MD of their company, to get a promotion. However, he realises that his job is not as easy as it looks because Radhika plans to marry him.
The female lead role was first reported asPriyamani who apparently rejected and laterRagini Dwivedi was signed for the same. The film had its controversy with actressNikesha Patel refusing to promote the film citing that she had been sidelined and was not invited for the film's press conference meet.[5] Also there was reports that she was upset with actress Ragini for sidelining her.[6]
