Musnad Humaidi orMusnad Humaydi (Arabic:مسند الحميدي), is one of theHadith books attributed to ImamAl-Humaydi (d. 219 AH).[1]
The book contains almost one thousand five hundred (1500)hadiths according to Maktaba Shamila.[2] It is one of the oldest Musnad (a kind ofHadith book) written. It is written in second century of Islamic Calendar and written before the most authentic book ofHadiths (narrations of the Islamic prophetMuhammad) that are Sahihain (Sahih al-Bukhari &Sahih Muslim). The Musnad (مسند) are collections ofHadiths which are classified by narrators, and therefore bySahabas (companions ofMuhammad). The book contain Sahih (authentic), weak and fabricated narrations.[3][4]
