Morris Rossabi is an American historian and associate adjunct professor atColumbia University.[1] He specialises inInner Asian,East Asian, andChinese history.[1][2]
Morris Rossabi was born inAlexandria,Egypt. He moved to the United States when he was young and then received his PhD fromColumbia University in 1970.[2]
He was a Distinguished Professor of History atQueens College,[3] and is a published author.[4] He received an honorary doctorate from theNational University of Mongolia in 2009.[2] In 2011, he also delivered theW. Allyn Rickett-endowed lecture atUniversity of Pennsylvania about Mongol influence onMing China.[5] He received a Certificate of Merit from theMongolian Ministry of Foreign Affairs at the Mongolian Embassy to the United Nations in 2021.[1]
