Mohammad Bandar Saud Al-Shalhoub (Arabic:مُحَمَّد بَنْدَر سُعُود الشَّلْهُوب; born 8 December 1980) is a Saudi Arabian formerfootballer and he is the currently caretaker manager ofAl-Hilal. He played as anattacking midfielder forAl Hilal in theSaudi Professional League. A legend of Saudi football, he won 33 trophies with Al Hilal and one title with theSaudi Arabia national team, making him one of the most decorated footballers of all time.

On 30 November 2006, Al-Shalhoub came third in the Asian Footballer of the Year award, after eventual winnerKhalfan Ibrahim fromQatar andBader Al-Mutawa fromKuwait.

Club career

Al-Shalhoub started his professional career withAl Hilal in 1998. On 11 September 2020, he announced his retirement.[2]

He has been a member of theSaudi Arabia national team since 2000 when he was just twenty years old, and made his debut on 17 October 2000 againstQatar in the2000 AFC Asian Cup.[3] Al-Shalhoub was called up for the squad to participate in the2006 FIFA World Cup.
