Miturgidae is afamily ofaraneomorph spiders that includes nearly 170species in 29genera worldwide.[1] First described byEugène Simon in 1886,[2] it has been substantially revised, and includes the previous familyZoridae as a synonym,[3] and excludes the familyXenoctenidae.[4] Several genera have also been removed, such as the large genusCheiracanthium, which was transferred to theCheiracanthiidae.[5]
