Mirtha Rivero (born 1956) is a Venezuelan journalist and writer.
Mirtha Rivero started her career in the press inLa Región, ofLos Teques. She was editor, reporter and information chief for the economics section ofEl Diario de Caracas. She served as editor-in-chief of theDinero magazine and later focused to the corporative field. Rivero also wrote urban chronicles for theEstampas magazine ofEl Universal, and has written for the magazinesContrabando, ofCaracas, andEmeequis, of Mexico City.[1][2]
In 2010 she published the bookLa rebelión de los náufragos (The Castaways Rebellion) about the second tenure of Venezuelan PresidentCarlos Andrés Pérez and both the events and processes that led to his destitution.[3][4][5]
As of 2014 she collaborated withInterfolia,[1] a publication of the Alfonsine Chapel of theAutonomous University of Nuevo León, México.[2]
