Minecraft: The Manga[a] is a Japanesemanga series written and illustrated by Kazuyoshi Seto. It began serialization inShogakukan'sCoroCoro Comic magazine in April 2020. The series is based on the 2011 sandbox gameMinecraft.

The series is based on the 2011 sandbox gameMinecraft byMojang Studios. Written and illustrated by Kazuyoshi Seto.[2] It began serialization inShogakukan'schildren's manga magazineCoroCoro Comic on April 15, 2020.[3][4][5] The firsttankōbon volume was released on September 28, 2020.[6] As of March 2025, the series has released 11 volumes.[7]

Following the release of the eighth volume of the series and to commemorate its 500,000 sale, the first edition of the eight volume includes a download code for "Sniffer's Slipper" which can be use in the game.[8][9]

In June 2024,Viz Media announced that they licensed the series for English publication followingMinecraft's 15th anniversary.[3][10] The first volume was published on March 11, 2025.[4]

The series had over 500,000 copies in circulation by October 2023.[23]

Kara Dennison ofOtaku USA reviewed the first volume of the manga, stating that despite the manga being aimed for kids, the manga will be appreciated by all ages. She also praised the art style of the manga although she does not consider it to be "high art". Adding that Nico–the protagonist of the manga– is a "fun character".[2] Jenni Lada called the series "like any typicalshonen manga geared toward kids" and commented to the character design by Seto.[24]
