Mikhail Zaritskiy (Russian:Михаил Зарицкий; born 3 January 1973) is a retiredLuxembourgish professionalfootballer.[1] He was born inLeningrad, now St. Petersburg,Russian SFSR, grew up in theSoviet Union and later gainedLuxembourg citizenship through marriage.
Zaritskiy spent most of his career in Luxembourg, starting withFC Avenir Beggen and having two spells atSporting Mertzig, either side of a spell inGermany andGreece.[2] In his seven years playing in theLuxembourg National Division, Zaritskiy was the league's top goal-scorer four times. He was namedLuxembourgian Footballer of the Year twice.
