Mike van Diem (born 1959, in Druten, grew up inSittard) is a Dutchfilm director.
In 1990, his short filmAlaska won aGolden Calf for best short film and the Student Academy Award for best foreign student film in the drama category. In 1998, he received theAcademy Award for Best Foreign Language Film for the filmCharacter based on the 1938 novelKarakter byFerdinand Bordewijk.[1]
He has also directed commercials.
