Middle Island, also known asTong Po Chau (Chinese:熨波洲) is an island of Hong Kong. Administratively, it is part ofSouthern District.
Middle Island is located 100 m off the southern coast ofHong Kong Island, betweenDeep Water Bay andRepulse Bay.[1]
Middle Island houses one of the three clubhouses of theRoyal Hong Kong Yacht Club. The clubhouse is accessible by the Club's ownsampan ferry from Deep Water Bay. Close to the clubhouse is a beach that is accessible to the public.[2]
The island also houses the Middle Island Clubhouse of theAberdeen Boat Club [zh]. The Clubhouse is open daily except Mondays.[1]
There is also aTin Hau temple[3] and aTai Wong Ye temple[4][5] on the island.
