Memryk (Ukrainian:Мемрик; Russian:Мемрик) is a village inNovohrodivka urban hromada,Pokrovsk Raion,Donetsk Oblast, easternUkraine. It is located 31.85 kilometres (19.79 mi) northwest by west (NWbW) from the centre ofDonetsk city.
Memryk was founded in 1885 under theRussian Empire.
The village was captured byRussian Forces by the end of August 2024, during theRussian invasion of Ukraine.[2][3]
As of the2001 Ukrainian census, the settlement had 398 inhabitants, whosenative languages were 38.44%Ukrainian, 60.80%Russian and 0.25%Moldovan (Romanian).[1]
Russian milbloggers also claimed that Russian forces are fighting on the northeastern outskirts of Ukrainsk (southeast of Pokrovsk), seized Memryk (immediately northeast of Ukrainsk), and entered Halitsynivka (immediately east of Ukrainsk).
