Mehdi Bourabia (born 7 August 1991) is a professionalfootballer who plays as amidfielder for TurkishSüper Lig clubKayserispor. Born in France, he plays for theMorocco national team.
Bourabia was born inDijon, Côte-d'Or.[1] He is Moroccan by descent.[3]
He started his career withGrenoble Foot 38[4] and made his professional debut for the club on 7 November 2009 in aLigue 1 game againstMonaco.
In June 2015, Bourabia signed a two-year contract withCherno More Varna.[5] On 12 August, he scored the only goal in a 1–0 victory overLudogorets Razgrad in theBulgarian Supercup.[6]
On 11 January 2016, Bourabia signed withLevski Sofia on a three-year deal.[7] On 22 June 2017, he was sold to Turkish clubKonyaspor for a fee around 500 000 €.[8]
On 17 July 2018, Bourabia signed withSassuolo for a fee around €2 million.[9]
On 30 August 2021, Bourabia joinedSpezia on a season-long loan with an obligation to buy.[10]
On 1 September 2023, Bourabia moved toFrosinone on a one-year deal.[11]
Bourabia debuted for theMorocco nation team in a 2–22019 Africa Cup of Nations qualification draw againstComoros on 16 October 2018.[12]
