Friedrich Kasimir Medikus (orFriedrich Casimir Medicus; 6 January 1738 – 8 July 1808) was a German physician andbotanist.
He was born atGrumbach and became director of theUniversity of Mannheim (Theodoro Palatinae Mannheim) and curator of the botanical garden atMannheim. He encouraged the cultivation of locust trees (Robinia) in Europe.
The genusMedicusia was named after him byConrad Moench (now considered synonymous withPicris).
