The May Fair Hotel is aluxury hotel onStratton Street inMayfair, London, near the site ofDevonshire House inPiccadilly.[2] It opened in 1927 withKing George V andQueen Mary in attendance.[3] The hotel is now owned byEdwardian Hotels, and Inderneel Singh, son of the chairman and CEOJasminder Singh, is the managing director.[4]
The 404-room hotel completed a $150 million renovation[5] in November 2006. The building also houses the May Fair Theatre, which opened in 1963.[6][7]
In 2005, ablue plaque was unveiled to commemorate dance band leaderAmbrose, who performed regularly at the hotel.[8]Eric Parkin was a cocktail pianist there in the 1940s.
In June 2019, the hotel joined theRadisson Collection brand.[9]
