Mateusz Bieniek (born 5 April 1994) is a Polish professionalvolleyball player who plays as a middle blocker forAluron CMC Warta Zawiercie and thePoland national team.[1] With Poland, Bieniek won the2018 World Champion title and took part in 3Olympic GamesRio 2016,Tokyo 2020 andParis 2024, winning a silver medal at the latter.

Career

National team

On 2 April 2015, he was called up to the Polish national team led byStéphane Antiga.[2] He debuted in the national team on 28 May 2015 in a match of the2015 World League againstRussia (3–0).[3] He achieved 14 points and was named theMost Valuable Player of the match.[4] On 30 September 2018, Poland achieved its third title of theWorld Champions.[5] Poland beat Brazil in the final (3–0) and defended the title from 2014.

On 10 August 2024, he won the silver medal at the2024 Summer Olympic Games in Paris.[6]
