Massimo "Bullo"Bulleri (born 10 September 1977) is an Italian professionalbasketball coach and former player. During his playing career, standing at a height of 1.88 m (6 ft 2 in) tall, he played at thepoint guard andshooting guard positions. He is currently thehead coach forDinamo Sassari in the ItalianLega Basket Serie A (LBA).
During his proclub career, Bulleri won the European-wide secondary levelFIBA Saporta Cup's1998–99 season championship, and twoItalian League championships, in 2002 and 2003. He also won fourItalian Cup titles, (2000, 2003, 2004, and 2005), and twoItalian Super Cup titles, in 2001 and 2002. He was the voted theItalian League's MVP, in both 2003 and 2005. He was also voted theMVP of theItalian Cup, in 2005.
In 2017, Bulleri retired from playing professional club basketball.
Bulleri was a member of the senior men'sItalian national basketball team. With Italy, he played at the2003 EuroBasket, where he won a bronze medal, at the2005 EuroBasket, and at the2007 EuroBasket. He also won the silver medal with the senior Italian national team at the2004 Athens Summer Olympic Games.
After he retired from playing pro club basketball, Bulleri began working as abasketball coach. In 2017, he became an assistant coach with theItalian League clubVarese. On 6 July 2019 Bulleri signed with theItalian 2nd Division clubRavenna Piero Manetti, to work with the team as an assistant coach.[1]
On 8 September 2020 Bulleri was called byPallacanestro Varese to replaceAttilio Caja as head coach; he signed for the2020–21 season with an option for the next year.[2] Even though he managed to save the team from the relegation to theSerie A2, the option was not used and Buller left the Varese.[3]
On January 23, 2025, he became the head coach ofDinamo Sassari in the ItalianLega Basket Serie A (LBA), to replaceNenad Marković.[4]
