Mangsebung (Nepali:माङसेबुङ गाउँपालिका) is arural municipality (gaunpalika) out of six rural municipality located inIlam District ofProvince No. 1 ofNepal. There are a total of 10 municipalities inIlam in which 4 are urban and 6 are rural.
According toMinistry of Federal Affairs and Local Development Mangsebung has an area of 142.41 square kilometres (54.98 sq mi) and the total population of the municipality is 18503 as ofCensus of Nepal 2011.[1][2]
Banjho,Ibhang, andGajurmukhi which previously were all separateVillage development committee merged to form this new local level body. Fulfilling the requirement of the newConstitution of Nepal 2015,Ministry of Federal Affairs and Local Development replaced all oldVDCs and Municipalities into 753 new local level body (Municipality).[1][3]
The rural municipality is divided into total 6 wards and the headquarter of this newly formed rural municipality is situated inIbhang.
