Magalloway is a township inOxford County,Maine, United States. It has been part ofNorth Oxfordunorganized territory since it de-organized as aplantation in 2021.[1][2] The population was 45 at the2020 census.[3] Part of theUmbagog National Wildlife Refuge is located at its southwestern corner.
According to theUnited States Census Bureau, the township has a total area of 54.2 square miles (140 km2), of which 48.4 square miles (125 km2) is land and 5.8 square miles (15 km2) (10.67%) is water. The township is located along theNew Hampshire border, in Maine'swestern mountain region. Various bodies of water are located in the township, including Sturtevant Pond, a segment of theMagalloway River, and a portion ofUmbagog Lake.[4]

There were 105 housing units at an average density of 2.2 per square mile (0.85/km2). The racial makeup of the plantation was 100.00%White.
There were 15 households, out of which 26.7% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 80.0% weremarried couples living together, and 20.0% were non-families. 20.0% of all households were made up of individuals, and 6.7% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.47 and the average family size was 2.83.
