Machu Such'i Qhuchi orMachu Such'i Q'uchi (a combination ofQuechua andAymara,machu old,[3]such'i a species ofpencil catfish,[4][5]qhuchi orq'uchi wetlands[6][7] "old such'i wetlands", Hispanicized spellingsMachu Suchi Cuchi, Matchu Suchi Cuchi, Machu Suchi Coochi, Matchu Sochi Conchi) is a mountain in theApolobamba mountain range in theBolivianAndes, about 5,679 metres (18,632 ft) high.[8] It is situated near thePeruvian border in theLa Paz Department,Franz Tamayo Province,Pelechuco Municipality, east ofSuch'i Lake.[9]
