Lufefe Mkutu (born 1991 or 1992) is a South African politician who has been aMember of the National Assembly of South Africa since 2024, representing theAfrican National Congress.
Mkutu was born in Kwazakhele outsideGqeberha. He matriculated from Khumbulani High School. Mkutu graduated with aBachelor of Technology inIndustrial Engineering fromNelson Mandela University where he was a student leader in theSouth African Students Congress.[1]
Mkutu worked forAccenture andGeneral Motors as a business analyst and industrial engineer respectively. In 2019, he was appointed as the media liaison officer for the Eastern CapeMember of the Executive Council for Social Development.[1]
Mkutu was appointed as the regional manager for the National Youth Development Agency in theEastern Cape in 2022.[1]
Mkutu stood for election to theSouth African National Assembly in2024 as 48th on the ANC's national list and was elected.[2][3]
