Lise Christoffersen (born 5 August 1955 inDrammen) is aNorwegian politician for theLabour Party. She was elected to theNorwegian Parliament fromBuskerud in 2005. On the local level, Christoffersen was a member ofDrammen city council from 1983 to 2003, serving as deputy mayor from 1991 to 1995 and mayor from 1995 to 2003.
Outside politics she graduated ascand.mag. from theUniversity of Oslo in 1979, and took the master's degree inpolitical science in 1989. She was a research fellow there from 1982 to 1983, and a researcher atInstitutt for sosialforskning from 1989 to 1995.
In addition to her role in parliament, Christoffersen has been serving as member of the Norwegian delegation to theParliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe since 2009. As member of the Labour Party, she is vice-chairwoman of theSocialist Group. She is currently a member of the Committee on the Honouring of Obligations and Commitments byMember States of the Council of Europe (Monitoring Committee). AlongsideValeriu Ghilețchi (2017-2019) andAleksander Pociej (since 2019),[1] she serves as the Assembly's co-rapporteur onNorth Macedonia.[2]
