Line 28 of theBeijing Subway (Chinese:北京地铁28号线;pinyin:běijīng dìtiě èrshíbā hàoxiàn) is arapid transit line under construction inBeijing. It was formerly known asCBD line.
Construction started in July 2021.[1] It is planned to open in 2029.[2]

In August 2015, planning authorities proposed an undergroundautomatic people mover (APM) line through theCentral Business District (CBD).[5]
According to the most recent plan announced in August 2019, the line will run 8.877 km (5.516 mi), have 9 stations fromDongdaqiao toGuangqudonglu.[3] The line was redesigned into a higher capacitylight metro line, not anautomatic people mover (APM).[3]
A feasibility study for the line was approved in October 2020.[4]
Construction started in July 2021.[1]
It will use 6-car Type LBlinear motor rolling stock, similar to theCapital Airport Express of Beijing Subway, andGuangzhou Metro'sLine 4,Line 5 andLine 6.[1]
