Lindholm railway station is arailway station serving thedistrict ofLindholm in the city ofNørresundby inVendsyssel,Denmark.[1][2]
The station is located on theVendsyssel railway line fromAalborg toFrederikshavn and is part of theAalborg Commuter Rail service.[5] North of Lindholm station theAalborg Airport railway line branches west toAalborg Airport. The station opened in 2002.[5] The train services are operated by therailway companiesDSB andNordjyske Jernbaner.[2][4]
Lindholm station opened in 2002 as a part of the newAalborg Commuter Rail service.[5] The station is located about 300 metres (980 ft) north of the oldNørresundby railway station which was closed in 1972. For a year 2012–2013, there was no train service, only bus service, since theLimfjord Railway Bridge across theLimfjord betweenNørresundby andAalborg was damaged and unusable for trains due to a ship collision. In 2020 theAalborg Airport railway line opened which branches west north of Lindholm station toAalborg Airport and links Aalborg with its airport.
The train services are operated by therailway companiesDSB which offers directInterCityLyn connections toCopenhagen andAalborg Airport (using theAalborg Airport railway line toAalborg Airport station), andNordjyske Jernbaner which offers directregional train services to Aalborg,Hjørring and Frederikshavn.[2][4]
