Ligerz railway station (German:Bahnhof Ligerz,French:Gare de Gléresse) is a closed railway station in the municipality ofLigerz, in theSwisscanton ofBern. It is an intermediate stop on thestandard gaugeJura Foot line ofSwiss Federal Railways.[1] The station closed in December 2024 as part of the building of theLigerz Tunnel, scheduled to open in 2029.[4][5] A regular bus service was introduced betweenLa Neuveville andTwann due to the closure of the station.[6][7]
It is located next toLigerz (Talstation), the lower station of thefunicularVinifuni Ligerz–Prêles, andLigerz (Schiff), the landing stage for passenger ships ofLake Biel.
