Lawrence Thomas Hart (born September 17, 1946, inKansas City, Missouri) is anAmericanathlete who won thegold medal in the men'shammer throw event at the1975 Pan American Games. He set his personal best (68.84 metres) on June 11, 1976, at a meet inWestwood, Los Angeles, California.

Hart has continued throwing into theMasters age divisions. On June 20, 2015, he set theAmerican M65 record in the hammer throw,^[1] surpassing his own previous mark and that of former rivalEd Burke.
