Lancer (2021 population:58) is aspecial service area in theCanadian province ofSaskatchewan within theRural Municipality of Miry Creek No. 229 andCensus Division No. 8. It held village status between 1913 and 2022.
Lancer incorporated as a village on September 11, 1913.[1] It restructured on August 1, 2022, relinquishing its village status in favour of becoming aspecial service area under the jurisdiction of the RM of Miry Creek No. 229.[2]
In the2021 Census of Population conducted byStatistics Canada, Lancer had a population of58 living in28 of its33 total private dwellings, a change of-15.9% from its 2016 population of69. With a land area of 1.32 km2 (0.51 sq mi), it had a population density of43.9/km2 (113.8/sq mi) in 2021.[3]
