TheBL40, branded as theNew Chocolate, is asmartphone from theSouth Korean electronics companyLG. It is designed to resemble the originalLG Chocolate. It was introduced on 3 August 2009[1] showcasing a distinctive design, incorporating a 4-inch display that pioneers a wide aspect ratio of 21:9, a first in the history of mobile phones. It also presents the renowned S-Class 3D user interface, which was initially introduced on theLG Arena.[2]

It is tri-band withHSDPA support. Its camera is a 5-megapixel f/2.8 with aSchneider KreuznachTessar lens, (as seen previously onLG Renoir,LG Viewty and others). It has 335 MB internal storage but hasMicroSD expandable storage for up to 32 GB extra. There's alsoWi-Fi, an accelerometer, and anFM transmitter.[3]
