Koteshwara Brahmins (also known asKoteshwara Magane Brahmins) are aHinduBrahmin subcaste mainly from the Indian state ofKarnataka. The community is mainly concentrated in theKoteshwara,Kundapur, and surrounding areas ofUdupi district inKarnataka.[1][2] The community takes its name from the villageKoteshwara, which is their native place.[3] Koteshwara Brahmins follows theDvaita Vedanta propounded byMadhvacharya and are followers ofSodhe Vadiraja Swami Matha.[4]
