Kingswells is a village and suburb ofAberdeen,Scotland, situated west of the city and to the east ofWesthill.
Kingswells has existed as a village for centuries, but only beginning in the 1980s did it expand as a result of the boom in theoil industry. It has a wide range of local amenities including; aprimary school,convenience store, doctor's surgery, veterinary surgery and two community halls. It doesn't include asecondary school however, there are school buses which run within the community providing efficient transport to nearby neighbouring secondary schools such as Bucksburn Academy.
The village is served by regular bus services.McGill's service 14[2] to Aberdeen City Centre runs between Monday and Friday (and on Friday and Saturday nights, thefree[3] First Bus 23N[4] also to Aberdeen City Centre). From the park and ride,Stagecoach Bluebird services 5[5] and 6[6] (both to Westhill & Aberdeen), and the 218 (to Alford & Aberdeen). Kingswells also has easy access to Bridge of Don and Dyce via the AWPR, convenient for people working at the Airport and Industrial Estates.
