Kevin Korchinski (born June 21, 2004) is a Canadianice hockeydefenceman for theChicago Blackhawks of theNational Hockey League (NHL). He was drafted seventh overall by the Blackhawks in the2022 NHL Entry Draft.[1][2]
On August 11, 2022, Korchinski signed a three-year, entry-level contract with theChicago Blackhawks.[3]
For his play with theSeattle Thunderbirds in the2022–23 WHL season, Korchinski named to theCanadian Hockey League (CHL)'s Third All-Star Team.[4] The Thunderbirds entered the2023 WHL playoffs as contenders, ultimately winning theEd Chynoweth Cup as league's champions.[5] Their league title qualified the team for the2023 Memorial Cup, where they reached the event final, but were defeated by theQuebec Remparts.[6]
Korchinski made the Blackhawks opening day roster for the2023–24 NHL season, and made his official NHL debut on October 10, 2023.[7] He scored his first NHL goal against theTampa Bay Lightning on November 9.[8]

On December 12, 2022, Korchinski was named toCanada national junior team to compete in the2023 IIHF World Junior Championship. During the tournament he recorded one goal and three assists in seven games and won a gold medal.[9]
