TheKenya Rugby League is the governing body for the sport ofrugby league in Kenya. The organisation oversees the national team as well as domestic competitions run within the country, including the Kenya RL Premiership.
In November 2021, theEuropean Rugby League recommended that the federation should be awarded Observer status of theInternational Rugby League.[1] In August 2023, Kenya was elevated to Affiliate membership of the IRL.[2]
In 2024, Kenya bid to host the2028 Women's and2030 Men's Rugby League World Cup.[3]
The Kenya national rugby league team representKenya in the sport ofrugby league football. The team is trying to qualify into2025 Rugby League World Cup for the first time.[6]
