It is owned by Sukhdev Dhillon, through licensee Radio Punjab Dallas LLC.[1] KTXV airs afull serviceradio format of popular music, news and talk, inPunjabi and otherlanguages of South Asia as well asEnglish.
By day, KTXV broadcasts at 20,000watts. But during thenighttime hours, KTXV drastically reduces its power to 250 watts to protectClass Aclear channel stationWLS inChicago. KTXV uses adirectional antenna at all times. Thetransmitter is offU.S. Route 175 inEustace, Texas.[2]
Signal testing for this station began in November 2007 in English and Asian languages.[3] Once testing was complete, the station began broadcasting aVietnamese format known as "Radio Saigon."
Radio Saigon later moved toKRVA1600 AM to make way for aMandarin andEnglish format supplied by Radio China International.
