Judith Anne Hannan (néeIrvine) is an Australian politician. She was elected a member of theNew South Wales Legislative Assembly representingWollondilly as an Independent in2023.[3]

Political career

She was the unsuccessfulLiberal candidate in the2001 Auburn state by-election. She then unsuccessfully contestedGranville at the2003 New South Wales state election.

In 2004, she ran forWollondilly Shire in North Ward.[4]

In the2011 New South Wales state election, Hannan contested Wollondilly for theHatton's Independent Team but came in third place.[5]

Prior to the2019 New South Wales state election, she had been courted as a possible Liberal candidate by then-PremierGladys Berejiklian.[6]Nathaniel Smith was selected as the Liberal candidate for Wollondilly instead. Hannan ran as an independent against Smith, achieving 44.5% of the two-party preferred vote.[7] In the 2023 election, she ran again as an independent and was supported by theteal-alignedClimate 200.[8]
