From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Rabbinical eras

R.Jeremiah (Hebrew:רבי ירמיה) was aTanna sage of the last generation and anAmora sage of the first generation, active in theLand of Israel during the transition period between the Tannaic and Amora sages eras.

TheTalmud tells that one of his pupils was a sage called Hezekiah.[1] Rabbi Yehudah be-Rabbi Kalonymus mi-Speyer raises the question whether it was Hezekiah the son ofR. Hiyya, or whether it was Hezekiah the son of the daughter ofRav.[2]
