Jean-Marie Léonard (14 July 1943 – 9 August 2021) was a Belgian politician.[1] A member of theSocialist Party (PS), he served in theChamber of Representatives of Belgium from 1990 to 1995 and theParliament of Wallonia from 1990 to 2004.
Léonard graduated fromÉcole normale [fr] and became a primary schoolteacher. He was President of the Union Socialiste Communale de Flémalle and served in the cabinets ofMinister-PresidentsJean-Maurice Dehousse andYvan Ylieff.
His son,Laurent [nl], served in the Parliament of Wallonia and theParliament of the French Community.
