Jaye Griffiths (born 24 September 1963) is a British actress. After playing Ros Henderson in theBBC seriesBugs and D.I. Sally Johnson in theITV procedural dramaThe Bill, she landed the role ofElizabeth Croft in the BBC soap operaDoctors. She has since portrayed roles including Janet Mander inSilent Witness,Elle Gardner inCasualty and its spin-off seriesHolby City, and Yavalla inThe Outpost.

Griffiths trained at theGuildhall School of Music and Drama.^[1] Since her graduation, she has appeared in many television dramas, including a starring role as Ros Henderson in the BBC seriesBugs, which ran for four series.^[2] She can often be found in police or hospital dramas, where she has appeared inThe Bill,Doctors,Always and Everyone,Instinct, andSilent Witness. Her other credits includeBetween the Lines,Drop the Dead Donkey,Kingdom andSkins. She has also presented twoBBC Schools television series,Watch andStorytime.^[1]

In 2015, she guest starred in an episode of the medical dramaHolby City. She playedJac in two episodes of theninth series ofDoctor Who.^[3] She later returned toDoctor Who throughBig Finish Productions as theEighth Doctor'scompanion Lady Audacity Montague. Griffiths played consultantElle Gardner inCasualty from 2016^[4] to 2019.^[5] Griffiths has also starred in theatre productions of WilliamShakespeare'sMacbeth, where she played the role ofLady Macbeth.^[6]
