Javain Okemio Brown (born 9 March 1999) is a Jamaican professionalfootballer who plays as aright-back forReal Salt Lake and theJamaica national team.[1]

Club career

Brown captained his high school team, Kingston College.[3] He played club football for the Jamaican clubsHarbour View andSantos.[2] In May 2018 he signed for US college teamUSF Bulls,[4] and will begin play with them from 2019.[5]

On 22 March 2019, it was announced that Brown would play for theTreasure Coast Tritons ofUSL League Two during the 2019 season.[6]

On 21 January 2021, Brown was selected 23rd overall in the2021 MLS SuperDraft byVancouver Whitecaps FC.[7] Brown signed with Vancouver on 17 February 2021.[8]He scored his first goal againstNashville SC on 30 July 2022.[9]

He was waived by the Whitecaps on 29 July 2024,[10] and was claimed byReal Salt Lake on 31 July 2024.[11]

International career

He made his senior international debut forJamaica in 2017.[2]

In October 2018 he was selected by theJamaican under-20 team for the2018 CONCACAF U-20 Championship.[5]
