James Aloysius Gallagher (June 8, 1909 – April 16, 1992) was an Americansoccer player who earned twocaps with theUnited States national soccer team. One cap came at the1928 Summer Olympics where the U.S. lost toArgentina in the first round.[3] He earned his second cap in a 3–3 away draw withPoland on June 10, 1928.[4] At the time, he played for Ryerson Juniors.[5] He later played for Bayonne Rovers.[6]
Born inEast Newark, New Jersey,[1] Gallagher was a longtime resident ofBelmar, New Jersey, and died on April 16, 1992, atJersey Shore University Medical Center.[2]
