TheBruce Highway enters the locality from the east (Foreshores) and exits to the north (Tannum Sands).[3]

History

Iveragh State School opened in 1922 in a school building relocated from theToolooa State School.[10] It was on a 5-acre (2.0 ha) land parcel.[11] The school closed in 1940.[12]

In the2016 census, Iveragh had a population of 140 people.[13]

In the2021 census, Iveragh had a population of 122 people.[1]

There are no schools in Iveragh. The nearest government primary school is Benaraby State School in neighbouring Benaraby to the north-west. The nearest government secondary school isTannum Sands State High School in neighbouring Tannum Sans to the north..[3]
