IC 2628 is a type SBabarred spiral galaxy with a ring[1] located inLeo constellation.[2] It is located 600 millionlight-years from theSolar System and has an approximatediameter of 135,000 light-years.[3] IC 2628 was discovered on March 27, 1906, byMax Wolf and is classified as aring galaxy due to its peculiar appearance.[4][5] The galaxy has asurface brightness ofmagnitude 23.8[4] and located at right ascension (11:11:37.8) and declination (+12:07:21) respectively.[6]
