Holly Morris (born September 30, 1965[1]) is anAmerican author,[2] documentary director/producer and television presenter. Her articles have been published inThe New York Times Book Review,More,O,Slate,The Daily Telegraph,The Week and other national publications.
Morris was born inChicago,Illinois,US. She is the daughter of formerprofessional football playerJohnny Morris andJeannie Morris, a sports reporter and writer. Johnny Morris was aChicago Bearswide receiver[3] who became a long-timesportscaster forWBBM-TV in Chicago[4] and a footballcolor commentator withCBS Sports. Jeannie Morris is the author of the best-selling bookBrian Piccolo: A Short Season,[5] the story of an AmericanNational Football League player who died of cancer at the age of 26.

She is the author of Adventure Divas: Searching the Globe for a New Kind of Heroine (Random House), aNew York Times Editor’s Choice,[6] and contributes to many publications, including “O,” The New York Times,The Week andThe Independent. Her story about a subculture of illegal ‘Stalkers’ inside the Chernobyl’s Dead Zone appeared inSLATE.
