Holger Mann (born 19 February 1979) is a German politician of theSocial Democratic Party (SPD) who has been serving as a member of theBundestag since 2021.[1]
Mann was born 1979 in the East German city ofDresden and studiedhistory.[2] He moved toLeipzig in 1997.[1]
Mann was member of theState Parliament of Saxony from 2009 to 2021.[3]
In the2021 elections, Mann was elected directly to the Bundestag, representing theLeipzig I district.[4] In parliament, he has since been serving on the Committee on Education, Research and Technology Assessment.[5]
Within his parliamentary group, Mann belongs to theParliamentary Left, a left-wing movement.[6]
In the negotiations to form aGrand Coalition under the leadership ofFriedrich Merz's Christian Democrats (CDU together with the BavarianCSU) and the SPD following the2025 German elections, Mann was part of the SPD delegation in the working group on education, research and innovation, led byKarin Prien,Katrin Staffler andOliver Kaczmarek.[7]
