Hiraku Nakajima (Japanese: 中島 啓Nakajima Hiraku; born November 30, 1962) is a Japanesemathematician, and a professor of theKavli Institute for the Physics and Mathematics of the Universe at theUniversity of Tokyo. He isInternational Mathematical Union president for the 2023–2026 term.

He obtained hisPh.D. from theUniversity of Tokyo in 1991. In 2002 he was plenary speaker at theInternational Congress of Mathematicians inBeijing. He won the 2003Cole Prize in algebra for his work onrepresentation theory andgeometry. He provedNekrasov'sconjecture.
